Isaiah 61:10   "I  will greatly rejoice  in the Lord,  my soul  will be joyful  in my God,  for He  hath clothed me  in the garments of  salvation,  He  hath covered me  with the robe of righteousness,  as  a bridegroom decketh  himself with ornaments,  and  as a bride adorneth herself  with her jewels."   

THE ONLY TIME  THAT  WE  ARE  ABLE  TO GREATLY REJOICE  IN THE LORD  IS  WHEN  WE ARE  LIVING  OUR LIVES  IN HIS WILL.

WE  ENJOY  SWEET COMMUNION  WITH  HIM   -  TRUE  FELLOWSHIP.

FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD   THROUGH   CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD,    FILLS US TO THE BRIM,  WITH  INDESCRIBABLE   JOY.

ALL OUR  DELIGHT  IS  IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

WE  LONG TO BE ABLE  TO TELL HIM  HOW MUCH   WE REALLY   LOVE HIM.

WE  LONG TO WORSHIP  AND  ADORE HIM   FOR WHO HE IS.

THE LORD JESUS WILL  PRESENT  HIS BRIDE  IN HEAVEN ONE DAY  WHERE  IT WILL  PROCLAIM  HIS GLORY FOR ALL ETERNITY.

Revelation 19:7-8  "Let us be glad  and  rejoice,  and  give honor to Him:   for  the marriage of the Lamb  is come,  and  His wife  hath made herself  ready.  And  to her  was granted  that she should be arrayed  in fine linen,  clean  and  white:   for  the fine linen  is the righteousness  of  saints." 

THE CHURCH   -  THE BODY OF CHRIST,  ALL BELIEVERS FROM  PENTECOST  TO  THE RAPTURE  -  WILL BE PRESENTED  TO  CHRIST AS A BRIDE,  ADORNED TO MEET HER HUSBAND.

THE MARRIAGE TAKES PLACE IN HEAVEN,  THIS  IS  A HEAVENLY SCENE  THROUGHOUT.

THE APOSTLE PAUL  SAYS,  THAT  ONLY WHEN  THE MARRIAGE PARTNERS,  BOTH HUSBAND AND WIFE  ARE  IN CHRIST AND  FILLED  WITH  THE  HOLY SPIRIT, CAN THERE BE   A TRUE MARRIAGE RELATIONSHIP  AND  A CHRISTIAN HOME.

THERE  CAN ONLY  BE   TRUE LOVE  -  LOVE WITHOUT LUST  -  WHEN  THERE  IS   A  SPIRIT  FILLED  HUSBAND   AND  A  SPIRIT  FILLED  WIFE.

BOTH  PARTNERS  NEED  TO  BE  BORN-AGAIN.

BORN  OF  THE SPIRIT OF GOD.

Ephesians 5:25-27  "Husbands, love your wives,  even as Christ also loved the church,  and  gave Himself for it;   that  He  might  sanctify  and  cleanse it  with the washing of water  by the Word,  that  He might present it  to Himself  a glorious Church,  not having spot or wrinkle,   or any such thing;   but  that  it should be  holy  and  without blemish."  

THIS IS A PICTURE OF THE RELATIONSHIP OF CHRIST AND HIS CHURCH.

ONLY  A  BORN-AGAIN CHILD OF GOD  FILLED  WITH  THE HOLY SPIRIT,  IS  ABLE  TO  LOVE IN THIS MANNER.

CHRIST  GAVE HIMSELF  WILLINGLY  FOR  THE CHURCH.

WE LIVE IN AN AGE OF NEW MORALITY.

OUR SOCIETY IS DRENCHED WITH SEX.

TRUE MARRIAGE HAS TO BE BUILT ON PURITY.

CHRIST JESUS  IS GOING TO  DRAW US TO HIMSELF,  PURIFIED AND CLEANSED.

MARRIAGE IS A GLORIOUS PICTURE OF  THE JOINING OF CHRIST AND THE CHURCH  -  AS HIS BRIDE.

NOTICE,  THAT  THE OLD TESTAMENT SAINTS  ARE  NOT INCLUDED.

ONLY THE BELIEVERS,  DURING  THE CHURCH AGE,   ARE INCLUDED.

JOHN THE BAPTIST  DESIGNATED HIMSELF  AS  ONLY A  FRIEND   OF  THE BRIDEGROOM.  

John 3:29   "He  that  hath the bride  is the bridegroom."

CHRIST JESUS  GAVE  HIMSELF  WILLINGLY  TO DIE ON THE TREE  SO  THAT  HE  COULD  PURCHASE FOR HIMSELF,  WITH HIS OWN SHED BLOOD,  THE CHURCH - HIS BRIDE.

John 17:23-26   "I  in  them,  and  Thou in me,  that  they  may be made  perfect  in one;   and  that  the world may know  that  Thou hast sent me,  and hast loved them,   as Thou  hast loved me.

Father,  I  will  that  they also,  whom  Thou  hast given me,  be with me  where  I am,  that they  may  behold my glory,  which Thou  hast given me;   for  Thou  lovedst  me  before the foundation of the world.

O  righteous Father,  the world  hath not known Thee;   but  I  have known Thee,  and  these  have known  that  Thou  hast sent me.  And  I   have declared unto them  Thy name,  and  will declare it,  that  the love  with which Thou  hast loved me  may be  in them,  and  I  in them."

THE BRIDAL GOWN   IS  MADE UP  OF  THE RIGHTEOUS  DEEDS  -  those deeds wrought by the Spirit of God   -   OF  THE CHURCH.

THE BRIDAL GOWN  WILL ONLY BE USED  ONCE  BUT 

BELIEVERS WILL BE CLOTHED WITH THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST FOR ALL ETERNITY.

BELIEVERS  HAVE NO RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THEIR OWN. THEY HAVE  TRUSTED CHRIST JESUS TO BE THEIR PERSONAL SAVIOUR  AND  HE  HAS  IMPUTED   HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS TO THEM.

EVERY  BELIEVER  WILL  APPEAR  BEFORE  THE JUDGMENT SEAT  -  Bema  -  OF  CHRIST.

THEY  WILL NOT BE JUDGED FOR THEIR SINS  IN  REFERENCE TO  SALVATION.

THEY  WILL BE JUDGED  FOR  THE THINGS THEY HAVE DONE   SINCE  THE DAY   THEY WERE   BORN-AGAIN.

THIS  IS TO SEE  WHETHER  THEY WILL RECEIVE  A REWARD OR  NOT.

BELIEVERS DOWN THROUGH THE AGES  HAVE  BEEN DOING  RIGHTEOUS DEEDS   AND  THESE  DEEDS  HAVE BEEN  ACCUMULATING   AND  THEY ARE TO  ADORN  THE BRIDAL GOWN.

1 Corinthians 3:12-14  "Now  if any man  build upon this  foundation  gold,  silver,  precious stones,  wood,  hay,  stubble  -  Every man's work  shall be made manifest;   for  the day shall declare it,   because  it shall be revealed  by fire;   and  the fire  shall test every mans work  of what sort it is.   If  any man's work  abide  which he hath built upon it,  he shall  receive a reward."  

GOLD,  SILVER  AND  PRECIOUS STONES  WILL  ABIDE  BUT  WOOD,  HAY  AND  STUBBLE  WILL  GO UP IN SMOKE.

IT IS  THOSE THINGS THAT WE  DO   IN  OBEDIENCE  TO  THE  HOLY SPIRIT   THAT  WILL  EARN A REWARD.

Ephesians 2:10  "For  we are  His  workmanship,  created   in Christ Jesus  unto good works,  which  God  hath before ordained  that we  should  walk in them."

AFTER THE WEDDING THE BRIDAL GOWN IS LAID ASIDE. 

The Church   WILL  REVEAL  THE GLORY OF THE  Lord Jesus Christ   FOR ALL ETERNITY. 

Ephesians 2:7-9  "That  in the ages to come  He  might show  the exceeding riches  of His grace  in  His kindness towards us  through Christ Jesus.  For by grace are ye saved  through faith;  and that   not of yourselves,  it is  the gift of God  -  Not of works,  lest any man should boast."   

WE  WILL BE ON DISPLAY IN HEAVEN  ONE DAY.   SINNERS,  SAVED FROM   HELL.

WE HAVE BEEN    Accepted in the Beloved.

WE WERE  BOUGHT  WITH  THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF THE LORD JESUS.

AND WE HAVE BEEN  SAVED  FROM  ETERNAL  SEPARATION  FROM  GOD THE FATHER.

We  are able  to have an  intimate  relationship  with the  Lord Jesus Christ  through His Word.

This is truly delightful,  and  we can  say with David

Psalm 37:5  "Our delight  is in the Lord  and  He gives us  all the desires  of  our hearts."
