2011
I
thirsted in the barren land of sin and shame,
And nothing satisfying there I found;
But to the blessed cross of Christ one day I came,
Where springs of living water did abound.
Drinking at the springs of
living water,
Happy now am I, my soul they satisfy;
Drinking at the springs of living water,
O wonderful and bountiful supply.
How sweet
the living water from the hills of God,
It makes me glad and happy all the way;
Now glory, grace and blessing mark the path I've trod,
I'm shouting Hallelujah every day.
O sinner, won't you
come today to Calvary?
A fountain there is flowing deep and wide;
The Saviour now invites you to the water free,
Where thirsting spirits can be satisfied.
Deep and wide, Deep and wide,
There's a fountain flowing deep and wide.
Deep and wide, deep and wide,
There's a fountain flowing deep and wide.
Plunge right in, Lose your sin,
There's a fountain flowing deep and wide,
Plunge right in, Lose your sin,
There's a fountain flowing deep and wide.
I used to love this chorus as a child and I still do to this day. I have been to that fountain many times.
This project to me is a personal blessing from our Lord Jesus Christ and it is my aim to share Him, and to enjoy Him with those whom He graciously leads to this page.
The Lord Jesus Christ, whom I really love is my entire motivation for writing and I trust that each day that I write I will love Him more and more as I learn about Him. And my hope is that one day soon, I will at last be at home with Him in glory and His work in my life will be complete.
I long to know Christ and the power of His resurrection in my life much more than I do and I long to love Him more than I do, and even so He is constantly giving me water, living water right inside my soul as daily I hunger and thirst after His righteousness for He has told us in His Word that
"If ye know that He is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of Him." It is one thing to testify that we know Christ and are in Him; it is quite another to have a life that reveals that He is our righteousness.
It is wonderful to know positionally that we are in Christ. We get so thirsty in this dry land in which we live. There is so much religion all around us, so much pretence, imitation Christianity. Put on a show type of thing but God knows the heart that there is no real love there, for Him at all.
I get so weary of all the falsehood and all the absolute hypocrisy but it all really boils down to the fact that Christians do not want to study the Word of God, They like to remain ignorant and when they are told what the Word of God says, they get their backs up and say nasty things but sadly they do not realize it is not the person talking that they are angry at but their anger is against the only God of this universe for it is His Word not ours.
Every Word we share in the Bible, was inspired by God.
Most people have little knowledge about the Lord Jesus. If you, like me, love to learn of Him who is the Saviour of the world, then will you ask Him, along with me, to fill us with - Colossians 2:9
"For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily"
Everything is centered in Him.
He is to have the preeminence in all things.
Like
the woman at the well I was seeking
For things that could not satisfy:
And then I heard my Savior speaking:
"Draw from my well that
never shall run dry."
Chorus.
Fill my cup Lord,
I lift it up, Lord!
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul;
Bread of heaven, Feed me till I want no more
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole!
There are millions in this world who are
craving
The pleasures earthly things afford;
But none can match the wondrous treasure
That I find in Jesus Christ my Lord.
Are you satisfied with the Lord Jesus Christ?
We have an ever Loving Abba Father who always supplies all of our need in Christ Jesus who us the Saviour of this world and He always blesses us far, far, far beyond our own expectation.
His goodness and mercy surpass our understanding.
He is Almighty God and He is our Abba Father.
Hallelujah!
Amen!
Are you also in Christ Jesus?
I'm feeding on the Living Bread,
I'm drinking at the Fountain Head,
And whoso drinketh Jesus said,
Shall never, never, thirst again.
What never thirst again?
No never thirst again!
And whoso drinketh Jesus said,
Shall never, never, thirst again.
Are you feasting on the Living Bread?
Has the Lord Jesus filled you with living water?
He will you know if you will but just ask Him to.
This Chorus about the Samaritan woman, I learned in Sunday School at the Gospel Hall in Crawford when I was about 4 years old and I never thought at that time what it would mean to me.
Jesus gave her water that was not in the well,
Jesus gave her water that was not in the well,
She went away singing,
She came back bringing,
Others to the water that was not in the well.
Jesus still gives water that is not in the well,
Jesus still gives water that is not in the well.
To all who come believing, and HIS WORD receiving,
He'll give the living water that is not in the well.
Was it for me, for me
alone,
The
Saviour left His glorious throne,
The dazzling splendors of the sky?
Was it for me He came to die?
Refrain:
It was for me, yes,
all for me,
O love of God, so great, so free,
O wondrous love, I'll shout and sing,
He died for me, my Lord and King!
Was it for me, sweet angel strains
Came floating o'er Judea's plains
That starlit night so long ago?
Was it for me God planned it so?
Was it for me the Saviour said:
"Pillow thy weary, aching head
Trustingly on thy Saviour's breast"?
Was it for me? Can I thus rest?
Was it for me He wept and prayed,
My load of sin before Him laid,
That night within Gethsemane?
Was it for me, that agony?
Was it for me He
bowed His head
Upon the cross and freely shed
His Precious blood, that crimson tide?
Was it for me the Saviour died?

"He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth" (John 1-10-14).
Amen!
